Brooch
This silver gilt brooch, set with locks of hair, was taken to the USA in 1892-3 by the donor's great-grandmother, Mrs Helen Bowie of Ayr.
Set in a openwork scroll frame, both faces of the central glazed compartment contain three locks of hair. A spring and clip pin is soldered to the back of the brooch.
Although the brooch was a family heirloom, the owners were determined that it should be returned to Scotland.
