TeapotThis silver teapot, dated 1719-20, was made in Edinburgh by Henry Bethune. Opposite the wooden handle is a straight, tapering spout. This style of spout featured on many early Scottish teapots. Henry Bethune was apprenticed to James Penman - a prominent figure in the City of Edinburgh and in the Incorporation of Goldsmiths.
