Stirlingshire Yeomanry Cavalry, Stirling Troop - 1822 pattern officer's light cavalry sword converted to a presentation sword and awarded to Corporal James Chrystal, 1829 In April 1820, the Stirlingshire Yeomanry was called out to disperse a small group of armed men who had marched from Glasgow in a supposed attempt to seize artillery stored at the Carron ironworks near Falkirk.
