Souvenir dish from the Glasgow International ExhibitionThis glass dish commemorates the Glasgow International Exhibition of 1888. It was made in Scotland or England. The dish has a scalloped edge and is moulded in low relief with thistles and the inscriptions: 'GLASGOW / INTERNATIONAL / EXHIBITION / MAY / 1888' and 'LET GLASGOW FLOURISH'. Edinburgh hosted international exhibitions in 1886 and 1907, and Glasgow in 1888 and 1901.
